Welcome to Animorphs: The Reckoning: The Podfic. This is a project intended to bring a fantastic Animorphs fanfiction into audio format, one chapter at a time. I personally am excited to get to work on this, and hope you will enjoy listening.

What is all of that?

Animorphs is a book series, written in the late 90s by K.A. Applegate, about a bunch of kids who have to stop an alien invasion of bodysnatchers by using the ability to turn into animals. It’s known for showcasing the cool features of the animal kingdom, as well as being kind of terrifying for a kids book.

Animorphs: The Reckoning (or AtR) is a fanfiction of Animorphs written in the late 10s by Duncan Sabien, starting with that same premise but aiming to have both sides escalate much quicker than in the original. It pays a lot of attention to how characters- both human and alien- can think very differently from one another. It isn’t necessary to have read the original Animorphs to understand everything in The Reckoning, but both stories are (in my opinion) really good, so why not?

Podfics are audiobooks in podcast form. We record ourselves reading each chapter, and then you can listen to the story in any situation where you’d rather listen than read.
